A/S J. Ludwig Mowinckels Rederi and Wenaas Shipping have signed a contract for the purchase of two panamax bulk carrier resales through their joint venture Mowinckel Bulk Carriers I KS.
The vessels will be taken over from Golden Ocean Group Ltd., Bahamas upon delivery from Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries Group in China medio 2008. The vessels have been chartered out to first class European charterers on a long term period.

2nd August 2006 our newbuilding M/T FROSTA was delivered from Celik Tekne Shipyard in Tuzla, Istanbul. The vessel entered a 3-5 years timecharter to Esso Norge by passing Dover 16th August 2006.

On 14th November 2007, Mowinckel Tankers International took delivery of its first vessel, the 5 517 dwt chemical / products tanker “Lycian”. The vessel was constructed by Celik Tekne Shipyard in Tuzla Bay, Turkey, and is the first in a series of 6 sister vessels contracted here by MTI. The vessels are of the highest specification including Framo deepwell pumps, Marine Line coating and large N2 generators.
The “Lycian” has entered a period charter to StatoilHydro.
