Mowinckel Tankers International (MTI) gets third ship.
On 11th July 2008, Mowinckel Tankers International took delivery of its third vessel, the 5495 dwt chemical / product tanker MT Ionian. The vessel was constructed by Celik tekne Shipyard in Tuxla Bay, Turkey, and is the third vessel in a series of 6 sister vessels contracted by MTI. The vessels are of the highest specification including Framo deepwell pumps, Superstripping system, Marine Line Coating and full capacity N2 generators.
The MT Ionian has entered a period charter to GEFO, Gesellschaft für Oeltransporte mbH.
A happy crew ready to take the vessel on her maiden voyage.
